Control of License

The Licensing Conditions Control Unit carries out state control in the field of mineral exploitation, conducts field and on-site inspection of the fulfillment of the mineral extraction license or mineral exploitation license, and   checks the conditions for exemption from the mineral extraction license. 

Inspection of regulated objects is carried out both according to the pre-approved scheduled inspection plan and on an unscheduled basis.

The Licensing Conditions Control Unit, upon detection of an administrative offense in the activity of a regulated object, draws up an act on an administrative offense in accordance with the law. 

 It also prepares and submits administrative correspondence to the objects of regulation in order to take mandatory measures to eliminate violations of Georgian legislation requirements or to refrain from any actions.

Statistics of the License Terms Control Service Unit

● 148 licenses were checked for   compliance   based on the planned schedule.

● 130 licenses were checked for    compliance   without following the planned schedule.

● 12 companies, exempt from the mineral resources extraction licensing by the decree of the Government of Georgia, were checked.

● As a result of the inspection, 86 Administrative offense acts were issued.

● As a result of desk inspection,   877 Administrative acts were issued. 

● License Conditions Control   Unit, in 2018, has issued in total 963 Administrative offense acts.
